This mountain is located in El Paso County, Colorado, U.S, about 10 miles (16 km) northwest of Colorado Springs in Cascade. It is the 32nd highest peak in Colorado and is well known for its easy accessibility and commanding position.

Main Trail Length

There are various ways to reach the summit of Pikes Peak for the spectacular views.

Firstly, the Crags Trail is located near Divide, Colorado, and is a heavily trafficked out and back trail with a distance of 23.3 kilometers. Roads leading to this trailhead are, however, subject to seasonal closures.

Another popular trail to this mountain summit is the 40.2-kilometer Barr Trail (main trail). This trail is a heavily trafficked out and back trail utilizing a waterfall near Manitou Springs, Colorado. It is best used from May through October. Visitors can hike, ride mountain bikes, or walk the trail. Dogs are also allowed on this trail, but they must be on a leash.
