Mount Harvard is ranked as the fourth-highest peak throughout the contiguous United States. Also, this mountain is the third-highest peak in Colorado.
Further, it was named aptly in 1869 by the first members of the Harvard Mining School class in honor of Harvard University.
Interestingly, the mountain is located within the San Isabel National Forest and has a snow-only route of about 14 miles round-trip. This feature makes it perfect for Snowshoeing and cross country skiing.

Mount Harvard trail is a 22.7km trafficked out and back route type. This route is used for hiking, fishing, and more. Besides, dispersed camping is accepted near the trailhead and around the multiple lakes.
The trailhead is attributed to a parking lot that is 5 miles ahead at the end of the road and located on the right for North Cottonwood Trailhead.
