Grays Peak is located in the Colorado region of the Rocky Mountains, situated beside Torrey's Peak. The twin summit ( Grays and Torrey Peak ) were named after Asa Gray and John Torrey.

Grays Peak is one of the two fourteeners that wits on the Continental Divide. Also, it is the tenth-highest peak of the Rocky Mountains of North America.

The Peak is located in Arapahoe National Forest. Moreover, the peak of Grays Peak is surrounded by a small stone wind shelter. In addition, eight plant species in Colorado, five of which belong to the genus Draba are home to the Grays Peak site.

The first recorded ascent of the mountain head in the year 1861 was Botanist Charles C. Parry. Again, the Peak is the highest point on the Continental Divide and the Continental Divide Trail in North America.
