Vail Ski Resort

Vail Ski Resort is the most visited ski resort in North America. With 5,289 acres, it ranks third in the largest ski resorts in the US, with endless terrain to discover. Vail has 193 total trail and 31 ski lifts. With so many options, it’s possible to have a different experience each and every time you visit. It’s no wonder that so many skiers and snowboarders make the trip each year to experience what is “Like No Place on Earth”.

Founded in 1962, Vail was the vision of founder Pete Seibert and Earl Eaton. Seibert, a veteran of the 10th Mountain Division trained at Camp Hale, ran the business. Eaton, a ski pioneer who lead Seibert to the undiscovered back bowls in the late 50s, created the vision. Once the first lifts were put in place in 1962, Vail rapidly grew to become the most iconic ski resorts in Colorado.

Nowadays, Vail boasts an intricate network of terrain split between a massive Front Side, 7 Back Bowls, and Blue Sky Basin. Along the Back Bowls there are endless options for new lines, all in one of the most picturesque mountain settings in the world.
